Hurricane Watching
Oct. 29th, 2012 11:26 amI am glued to all media outlets listening for the reports of the adverse weather in the North Atlantic with the approach of the massive hurricane Sandy. According to the BBC news Forecasters fear Sandy will become a super-storm when it collides with cold weather fronts from the west and north.
This is the thing right out of the movies. It has been described as being around 500 miles across. Putting the sheer size of the storm into reference, something that size would completely cover the UK and Ireland and all the little islands in between. Also France, Germany Belgium Netherlands and Denmark with Norway and Sweden Spain and Portugal on the leading edges. WOW I have visions of the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” in my head now.
Quite frankly I am majorly concerned OK I AM worried for all my friends and acquaintances that are in its path. The winds alone could reach as far inland as Toronto, the rain has already reached there and the cold front thats has sat over the area is set to merge with the incoming storm.
