Tuesday Blues
Feb. 28th, 2012 03:30 pmYou know, I don’t have an idea what to write today, I feel so out of sorts, but I am going to try.
Today is payday and most of it is already gone or reserved for the coming month. That is depressing right there. Everything keeps going up and up but my pay hasn’t. I haven’t had a pay rise since 2010, that was small in itself and was swallowed by tax and increased costs in EVERYTHING.
I am poorer now than I was 5 years ago. And I have no sight of a pay rise in the coming future either.
I so need something to liven me up, some time to get my head into gear and out of the doldrums. The weather isn’t helping either. I get headaches when pressure changes. If there is a storm brewing then I can feel it by the tension headache I feel starting at the base of my skull and front of my head just like right now.
I so want to get out with the camera on Saturday but I have not got the foggiest idea where to go and I don’t want to go over the top with cost for travel either. Looks like I will have to get the road atlas out and have a browse.
One thing I have to look forward to is another exhibition, this time at Patchings Arts Centre in Calverton, Notts at the end of April. My group are fortunate to be running our exhibition there at the same time as the brilliant David Shepherd. I remember first seeing his work at Dobbs of Nottingham Gallery when the company I work for used to reside at Wilford Street in Nottingham. Although most of the pictures I saw were prints I was fortunate to see one oil and believe me his animal pictures were amazing.
