You know, I don’t have an idea what to write today, I feel so out of sorts, but I am going to try.

Today is payday and most of it is already gone or reserved for the coming month. That is depressing right there. Everything keeps going up and up but my pay hasn’t. I haven’t had a pay rise since 2010, that was small in itself and was swallowed by tax and increased costs in EVERYTHING.

I am poorer now than I was 5 years ago. And I have no sight of a pay rise in the coming future either.

I so need something to liven me up, some time to get my head into gear and out of the doldrums. The weather isn’t helping either. I get headaches when pressure changes. If there is a storm brewing then I can feel it by the tension headache I feel starting at the base of my skull and front of my head just like right now.

I so want to get out with the camera on Saturday but I have not got the foggiest idea where to go and I don’t want to go over the top with cost for travel either. Looks like I will have to get the road atlas out and have a browse.

One thing I have to look forward to is another exhibition, this time at Patchings Arts Centre in Calverton, Notts at the end of April. My group are fortunate to be running our exhibition there at the same time as the brilliant David Shepherd. I remember first seeing his work at Dobbs of Nottingham Gallery when the company I work for used to reside at Wilford Street in Nottingham. Although most of the pictures I saw were prints I was fortunate to see one oil and believe me his animal pictures were amazing.

Different Perspectives delivers this work into formal and glorious print bringing it to new audiences in the traditional format of a photography exhibition with a contemporary edge. The Nottingham Flickr Group aim to excite, communicate and collaborate with the audience through traditional print and digitally rich audio visual display. Forget fixed genres and photographic preconceptions, Different Perspectives is about collaboration, involvement and opportunities.

Not a good start to the week. My weekly weigh in showed no change from last week. Very demoralising. I blame the cookies I made!

I began a diet last year after a visit to my doctors and since then I have lost 35lbs. I changed my eating habits drastically. More healthy diet, drink more water, walked daily and it has kept my weight lose off. But last week… Obviously, I didn’t do enough…!!!! Buggerit. Tuna salad for lunch, I had yoghurt with a portion and blueberries and strawberries for breakfast. Maybe that will be enough.

I went out into the city to buy some new walking shoes, I took the camera but nothing inspired me. I have taken so many photographs in and around Nottingham that I have a hard time finding something of interest unless there is an event happening in the city centre.

Maybe its just a lack of inspiration at the moment or lack of drive? Or is it the weather? I don’t know, I really don’t.

One of the many places that gives me inspiration is the Derbyshire Dales but the weather has not been good as of late to travel there
