Such a simple recipe too. I cant make pastry to save my life my hands are too warm for the rubbing and kneeding so I usually buy it premade blocks. Its the blind baking of the case that I usually have problems with I sometimes forget to prick the base

dough is tough. Have you tried making souflees? they're suprisingly easy and 100% dough free.

I tried one but failed but I do a fantastic meringue. The trick is cornstarch flour in the the sugar and egg white

the first souflee is always difficult, but go with a simple recipe and they're surprisngly easy.

Meringue huh? I love it, but the last time I tried I got the consistancy all right and the flavour all wrong. It was awful, and I've not tried making it since. Next time I've access to a stocked kitchen, I'll have to try that.

I just whip the egg white until they are good peaks then slowly add the sugar and cornstartch and them let it beat for around 5 mins it gets nice and thick and when you hold it up on a spatula it wont fall off and you have to give it a good shake to put it on the pie of the tray. If I have time I pipe the meringue on the pie but it gets really messy refilling the bag

Man, these look fabulous--especially the quiche! You have quite the touch when it comes to baking! (I usually let the smoke detector let me know when dinner is ready...)

I don't make them often but I had a hankering for quiche and Tre and Baz in the office virtually challenged me to bake the Lemon Meringue with their banter about that best Lemon Meringue is from this supermarket or that store. I had to prove them (As Rodney would say) wrong wrong wrong
