Saint George's Day is celebrated on 23 April, the traditionally accepted date of Saint George's death in AD 303.
Countries that celebrate St George's Day include England, Canada, Croatia, Portugal, Cyprus, Greece, Georgia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Macedonia.
The 23rd of April is also the birthday of WIlliam Shakespeare English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language
