what does it say around the circle of the last one...which is my favourite. It has a real whimsy about it despite its plainness compared to the painted look of the horses.
Betjeman's name and dates and the words "Who saved this glorious station". Round the rim, Jennings the sculpter has chosen words from the poem Cornish Cliffs: "And in the shadowless unclouded glare / Deep blue above us fades to whiteness where / A misty sea-line meets the wash of air."
The unicorn shots are interesting, but I must admit that I prefer the shot of sir john betjamen. I just scrolled down and saw that you found the poem that is inscribed around the statue, and they just sing to me. :-)
