Hi there,

This is me, Chris, nice to meet you all. I am 45 years old, born and raised in Nottingham, England and the eldest of three born to John and Joan.

I work in the packaging & paper industry as a purchase ledger supervisor, and the boss pays me to spend his money each week.

Photography is my passion. I love to take photographs which is primarily what this journal is for. But I do have other interests, I read, I love to watch movies, I cook, I love history, I adore exploring somewhere new, visiting museums and places of interest.

Im bright and bubbly, and cheery, reasonably intelligent although I adore trivia and usually carry a load of nonsense around in my head at the best of times so I generally have a lot of fun with quizzes and trivia challenges and as I have been told a great person to know. (Now I am not sure about that but no matter you will find out anyway) ;-)

This is usually how you will see me when I am out and about with my camera, yeah I know what a sight for sore eyes, sunglasses, hair braided and a baseball cap, well it keeps the sun put of my eyes when I am trying to take photos although I do sometime forget I am wearing it when I attempt to take a portrait shot.

I am a fan of The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball team even though I come from the UK. I love visiting my friends in Canada and travelling through the country. Ive visited Ontario and Quebec and I am looking forward to seeing New Foundland possibly on my next trip there.

This is my 92 year old grandfather and me, the photograph was taken last year. I am his eldest grandchild and I love him to bits. He and my grandma used to live across the street from us when I was growing up and every evening I would pop over to play chess with him or cards. He is totally ruthless at chess and such a sneeky cheat at cards when he thinks I am not looking. LOL

Ive been married for 17 years but I do not have any children but I became an aunt 18 months ago and I absolutely adore my nephew. I enjoy talking to people from anywhere and have made friends in many places. I'm a bit of a contridiction of tastes its what makes me who I am.

I am completely loopy and quite possibly certifiable and whatever you do, don't, ever, ever let me near a coffee shop, a book store or shoe shop on my own.

You have great hair and a lovely smile! I don't, and I tend to loathe all pictures taken of me. I think I only have two (and both of them taken many years ago) that I can actually tolerate. :-)

Thank you *Blushing* I thought I should introduce myself

You can't actually tell from those images that my hair is halfway down my back and has a natural curl to it and falls into ringlets. I have to use gel or mousse on them and clips and things otherwise that sometimes can be a bane of my existance when it becomes tangled.

If I do not fasten it up before I go to bed I can wake up in the morning looking like I have been pulled through a hedge backwards (locally you would hear them say dragged frew a 'edge bakkards).

Actually I think I would give Ronan a run for his money with the hair

Your hair sounds amazing--I'm quite envious!

Mine is thick and grows like kudzu, which is a non-native invader species from Japan in the US that engulfs entire mountainsides if you aren't familiar with it. However, as I have aged, it has become as coarse as a horse's tail, wiry and unmanageable. At one point, after receiving a dreadful haircut by someone with no feel for my hair, the BF referred to me as ">Worzel Gummage.

I ended up cutting all my hair off last Memorial Day, when the water went out at the house for 5 days during a heat wave. It was a terrible cut and it Had To Go, but I regret doing it now. I've been growing it out since February and it has reached the terrible bubble-headed phase. :-) Of course, it doesn't help that I color it as well. I went lighter recently, as it is much easier to keep up with than dark, but I prefer it dark.

I have to colour my hair every 2 months otherwise you see a load of white roots I am currently dark auburn but the next colour with be closer to my natural dark brunette

I can't believe you would be likened to Worzel no way!!!

When it gets too warm here and the humidity irritating I can't abide hair on my nexk so I always fasten it into a tight bun, the girls at work say it makes me look old fashioned I dont care it keeos my nexk cool.

I sometimes wonder if I should cut my hair but after all these years... besides my other half prefers it long

One thing I have found thats good for the hair is a dry end serum and put it onto wet hair which holds moisture in. I currently get mine through Avon. Boots used to do one with jojoba and that was fantastic not any more though.

I was having to color mine every 3 weeks (yes, it grows fast, but also, the color doesn't hold) so I went with a strawberry blonde the last time as it is easier to hide the roots for longer.

I prefer a nice dark auburn or mahogany on myself. When it is longer, I use Moroccan Miracle Oil on it, but it's too short for that now. I'm currently in the throes of growing it out--I look like Shaggy from the Scooby Do gang.

My hair is really heavy when it's long, and it hurts to put it up, so I cam constantly growing and cutting it depending on if I am in a love it or hate it phase. :-)

It's a bit frustrating that I can't find by childhood pictures right now. I can't find my external hard drive either, which is causing me to tear the house apart looking for both. Normally I know where things are, but I must have but both in a 'safe' place this time...

AT one time my hair was so short it was around 2 inches ling and tight curls unfortunately I don't have pictures of that

I haven't had the courage to go that lighter in colour just yet maybe in a few years.

I went auburn for 5 years My wedding photos have me with auburn hair my husband loved it but it got to be too expensive to have it coloured at the hairdressers every 2 months (I was charged double because of the lenght of my hair) when beginning maried life and every penny was being ploughed into the house.

I think this link will work

Until he gets a sulk on then there is no living with him for a couple of days until he finally gets over the sulk. Talk about silent treatment. Men!

I bet humidity is a problem for you--summers here would be tough!

Mine waves but does not curl. It's as heavy and coarse as a horse's tail though, and when I was young, the stylist told my mother to stop putting "Miracle Gro" (for plants) on it. :-)

I have childhood photos of me tucked away somewhere but I can't find them right now, which is a little distressing. Suffice to say my father's nickname for me was "A bag of bones and a hank of hair" which was from an old song--and surprisingly accurate. ;-)

This pic is one of the few I still have I was 7 years old I had no front teeth as I fell off a swing when I was 3 and broke them and had to wait for the adult ones to grow. I used to suck my bottom lip too.

I cant recall my dad giving me a nickname although my headmaster called me loosejaw and chatterbox

Aha, now a beautiful face to go with all of those beautiful photographs! I, myself, hate to be photographed. I am definitely not photogenic. We have a lot in common. My good friend Wendy, and fellow walker, calls me Cliff sometimes, from the old comedy show "Cheers" because I have all of this useless stuff in my head. A friend gifted me with a wonderful book to further the random stuff rattling around in my brain -- "The Perfectly Useless Book of Useless Information."

Have a great week off. I hope the weather does clear so you can post fantstic photos, and I also hope your b-day celebration was fun and special.

Later!

Thank you *blushes* Those are just some of the good pictures I don't normally look so good my cheeks are always red and I have bags under my eyes. Thank goodness for a good concealer

I will reluctantly allow people to take pictures of me, that middle one is a self portrait.

I used to look at encyclopeadias as a kid just for the information I watch documentaries and when I plan to visit somewhere I google it and research the place.

The weather was good today so I popped to the local city farm
Tomorrow I am taking mum to the cinema its an Orange Wednesday (Special deal for Orange mobile phone customer a free cinema ticket each week) and Thursday and Friday I will be on my travels just not sure where to go whether to go to Grimsby and visit the docks or into the Derbyshire Dales and Belper. My monthly photo theme challenge is water so...

Don't worry about it They have beaten them hundreds of times, Boston are my second favourite anyway.

The first baseball game I saw was Labor Day 2003 when Jays beat Red Sox 8-1 i think and Roy Halladay scored 14 strike outs
