Here it's just the plow truck guys. They plow and dump sand and salt all the same time with humongous plows. Sometimes they'll go down the highway (3 lanes in each direction) in staggered tandem. But, of course, our usual snowfall here is anywhere from 12 to 74 inches every winter. You just never know how bad a winter is going to be.
We tend to get more black ice from freezing rain and small amounts of snow. Our local council go through 15 tonnes each vehicle all over the city each night.cant remember hoe many vehicles we have though. They have a current stockpile of around 17000 tonnes prior tobthe recent snowy weather.
