Nottingham's Mounted Division police on Maximus, Trojan and Lionheart

Eye

Maximus

Looking for mints - Lionheart
We have one of the few police forces who still have a mounted division and they are often seen when there is some event happening in the city especially the festivals
Everyone always seems to love the horses when they come out to play. There are 7 on the force but I have only seen 4 of them out on the beat. You can always guarantee a herd of children around them when they are at events
There is Eros the youngest, likes to scratch his ears by standing on three legs and using his fourth leg to get to the itch.He only joined the force last year and I have not seen him yet
Maximus is the second longest-serving police horse and likes to have a good look around him to see what is going on he's the fastest walker and slowest eater.
King is regularly seen patrolling the streets and most weekends at Nottingham Forest’s City Groud and is extremely playful. King is our tallest police horse at 17 hands and loves Polo Mints
Lionheart regularly works parades with Trojan and he has the largest feet. He is said to be a gentle giant and has to have his hair cut every 3 weeks.
Lord Byron is the smallest and was the youngest police horse trainee ever to become a member of the mounted section. He is used for training officers and is now the longest serving horse in the force
Loxley joined the force and was originally named Murphy but local schoolchildren renamed him, he is extremely affectionate and prefers humans to horse companions and loves to be groomed
Trojan loves to get dirty but hates being bathed afterwards and he often works the football matches and loves parades.
