Steep Hill in historic Lincoln. This road way is now a pedestrian area but the old cobble stones are still there. The hill is as steep as it looks and gets a little steeper further up

I knew I would catch this in silhouette but with the grey rain clouds and a darkening sky I think its turned out very effective even though it does look a little like something our of a horror film like Friday 13th

I took this from the plane I was sat on at Manchester Airport on return from my second trip to Canada.

I would have loved to fly in Concord but it was not to be.

I saw it fly over NOttingham once around 20 years ago, it was a hot sunny day the sky deep blue, I heard a plane flying low I looked up and there it was, low enough to see the windows and the British Airways logo on the fusalage.

In 2011 I took another trip to Manchester Airport to accompany my Canadian best friend and to watch her plane take off. WHilst I was there I visited the Corcorde and sat inside for 15 minutes. Had I been in flight travelling at Mach 2 which is the speed concorde flew I would have travelled nearly 400 miles at supersonic.

The average supersonic flight time on the transatlantic routes was just under 3.5 hours. Concorde had a maximum cruise altitude of 18,300 metres (60,039 ft) and an average cruise speed of Mach 2.02, about 1155 knots (2140 km/h or 1334 mph), more than twice the speed of conventional aircraft
