One of the little effects I learned to do with my camera was the Zoom Motion shot whereby you have the feeling of zoom and motion from the photograph.

Going for a brew

Christmas Rush

How you achieve this effect using a DSLR kit lens like a Nikkor 18mm to 55mm anti vibration auto focus lens.

Firstly you need a stable solid stance or better still a tripod. Next zoom the lens to 55mm and take hold of the lens ready to zoom back in. When you are ready to take the shot zoom the lens back in to 18mm at the same time as you depress the shutter.

On a slow timed night shot you can zoom in and out creating unusual effects also.

Yes it does. My second image of these 4 was in an exhibition and I had it blown up to A3 in size and mounted and many people thought it fun to try and not fall over while looking at it

Cool effect. I especially like the one with the lady in the green coat in the middle of all of those people in darker coats.

If you sit back in your chair and click on the photograph into my flickr account and look at it in a larger size then move forward as you look at the image it moves
