I woke up this morning to temperatures of minus 5 degrees some of the lowest the UK has had this winter with the promise of up to minus 11 overnight tonight. Brrr: too cold for me. Roll on summer. Although the cold weather should make for some interesting photographs for this Friday’s up and coming Light Night event in my home town. This is if the snow keeps off.

I am an amature photographer and have been for a number of years. I’m not that great but I have taken some interesting shots. I can only ever hope to be good. I like to show people my view of the world, what I see through my eyes and my camera lens.  I may not be great at t but I have fun when I am out and about and I have made some fabulous friends. The cameras I use are my Canon Powershot A420 and my Nikon D60

Currently my photography group on Flickr is holding an exhibition at the local library. We have 54 mounted prints in A3 on display at the Nottingham Central Library until 25th February and an excellent assortment of photographs and styles from my friends. A number of their images can be seen here http://www.flickr.com/groups/nottsexhibition/

Friday this week sees Nottingham's Light Night this annual event brings together Bands, artists, dancers, community groups, performers and businesses to join in next year's Light Night in Nottingham with hundreds of events taking place across Nottingham city centre. The aim is to give people the chance to participate in an event that changes the ambiance of the city after dark and allows visitors to see their city in a new light. This is a fabulous opportunity for me and my friends to take some night photography.

Now I bet you are wondering a little about me well, l read, I love to watch movies, I cook, I love history, I adore exploring somewhere new, visiting museums and places of interest. Im bright and bubbly and cheery a great person to know.  I am a fan of The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball team even though I come from the UK. I love visiting my friends in Canada and travelling through the country. Ive visited Ontario and Quebec and I am looking forward to seeing New Foundland possibly on my next trip there. Ive been married for 17 years but I do not have any children but I became an aunt 18 months ago and I absolutely adore my nephew. I enjoy talking to people from anywhere and have made friends in many places. I'm a bit of a contridiction of tastes its what makes me who I am. I am completely loopy and whatever you do, don't let me near a coffee shop, a book store or shoe shop.
